Karkesh was not kind to Sushila, so Sushila moved away from her house once she got married. Her husband’s name was Kaundinia. On their way home, they find a river and go to take a bath. Sushila saw some women praying and joined them and asked them about their prayers. The women explained about Lord Anant and the importance of his vow. When Susheela was about to start a new life with her husband. She thought it best to pray and take the blessings of Lord Ananat for a prosperous future life. She followed all the rituals, took the vow, and tied a ceremonial thread in her left hand.
One day, Kaundinya wonders about Ananta’s blessings as he believes that everything he has achieved is due to his hard work and intelligence. Suchila and Kondinya argue on this point and remove the thread from Anant and throw it in the fire. After that they suffered many misfortunes and ended up in poverty. Hence, Kundinya realized that the strings and rituals of Ananta were the reason behind happiness and prosperity.
